About this campspace

In the winter of 2021 we took over this beautiful nature campsite. It is very spacious, has lots of trees, birds and the possibility of spotting deer in the morning! We have furnished the camping area with hammocks, a campfire place, lights in the trees and a nice bathroom/toilet.

We are located just 10 minutes from the famous beach and surf spot "De Brouwersdam" and within walking distance of the Grevelingenmeer where you can enjoy wind foiling. You can also visit the authentic town of Brouwershaven at 1 km from us.

Please note: at the camping pitches you can check in from 12 noon, at the bell tent and safari lodge check-in is from 3 pm.

Do you have questions? Please contact Campspace. Unfortunately, the chat is not working for me at the moment.

Perfect for...

People who want to enjoy space, freedom and privacy, who are looking for an authentic camping experience, and who want to actively explore the surroundings of beautiful beaches and cozy, atmospheric villages.

I grew up on a farm, so playing outside was always an option. After a trip to the big city, I landed in Zeeland again, where I would like to share the beauty of the island with others. I love meeting people and am very curious about their stories.

Tips

  • Pick your own oysters on the Oosterschelde. Take a surfing course. Rent a bike and discover the area.

  • Sunset is beautiful on the Brouwersdam

  • Almost every farm sells local products, nurseries also have nice sales stalls with fresh products.

  • Renesse has many nice entertainment venues

  • Many nice cafes and small restaurants on the historic harbor of Zierikzee. We also have beach pavilion Jeanzz within walking distance.

A fantastic campsite. I camped late in the season and was looking for some peace and quiet. I found that here. The campsite has a wonderful, friendly atmosphere. Please note: no WiFi. But completely relax.

How was the contact with the host?
Fantastic. Quirien took the time to have a chat. She made you feel very welcome. She has tips about the area. And gives the feeling of always being available to you.

Nice, beautiful, green campsite. Nice vibe! I was allowed to choose my own spot, Quirine came by later to chat. The sanitary building is nicely decorated, good showers, toilets, mirrors, sinks.

How was the contact with the host?
Quirine is a nice, spontaneous and friendly young woman, very hospitable. She gave me some tips for walks with my dog.

Tips for new guests?
Beach walk at Renesse was fun, nice beach bars there. At Brouwersdam you can undertake fun sporting activities.

Upon arrival at the campsite, a large chalkboard at the entrance indicated that we could choose a spot ourselves. Since we travel with a Trike and Minicamper, we opted for a slightly more spacious spot near the well-maintained and spacious sanitary facilities that are equipped with everything necessary. Very neat!! We really enjoyed our stay at Back To Nature so we will definitely come back again!!! ;)

How was the contact with the host?
Very good, after we had settled in our chosen spot and we were already enjoying the quiet green surroundings, Quirien came to greet us and gave us a word of explanation about the camp site, a very friendly lady who likes to make time for a chat with all her guests.

Tips for new guests?
Very quiet, fun and, above all, green camp site from which you can depart for a tour by motorcycle (Trike in our case), bicycle, car... Via narrow roads you drive through beautiful tiny villages and towns. Ouddorp, Renesse, Zierikzee, Scharendijke, Brouwersdam, Brouwershaven are definitely worth a visit, we enjoyed a very hospitable welcome everywhere…

a completely green ground, full of small corners, small hedges, trees, space for everyone and total respect for silence at night, the foot. The hammocks everywhere encourage you to stroll, and the night lighting is not at all obtrusive. The toilets are completely unusual, large, pretty, decorated with love and care, it just makes you want to respect them and smile. First class, really

How was the contact with the host?

It was a wonderful place, where you can choose your own pitch, so nice! A quiet campsite with a pleasant atmosphere, a nice bathhouse and a beautiful view of the landscape from the campfire site. We enjoyed the campsite, making a campfire and the nice owner :)

How was the contact with the host?
She was friendly, enthusiastic and approachable.

Tips for new guests?
Know that you can choose your own pitch and that the owner or someone else from the campsite will greet you automatically. They may miss you if you keep missing each other, but know that they always come to you! And there are two numbers you can call marked on a large chalkboard in the bathhouse.

We come every summer with our camper to camping de origin and always experience a great time. The campsite has grown enormously in three years, but still remains a very pleasant place to stay. You can choose where you prefer to place the tent or camper (on the open meadow or on the separate pieces of land that are demarcated with shrubs and trees). And also a big plus point: very clean sanitary facilities.

Super quiet campsite with wonderfully spacious camping pitches. The sanitary facilities were also clean and tidy. Had a wonderful week at the Origin. There is also play equipment for the children where they can enjoy themselves all day long.

The only point for improvement because could think of is perhaps a change machine for the shower, this is € 0.50 per shower, only there is little possibility at the campsite for changing (small) money.

We booked this camping to go sailing, but decided after two nights to book an extra night, because we didn't had the chance yet to enjoy this idyllic place.

The camping spots where so spacious you had your privacy. It had a family-vibe and everyone was so friendly. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were big and the interior was cosy. We played ping pong and had a lot of space to play badminton.

The camping is situated just outside of the villages, nice and peacefull. It's only a 10 min drive to the beach of Renesse.

We'll definitely come back here as we enjoyed our little holiday and drove back home all zen.

What a lovely campsite with a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. I liked it very much. The spacious pitches with shade. There was often music playing in the laundry room, very atmospheric. A lovely place to relax. Also nice with those picnic tables and hammocks and trampoline.

Two downsides were the huge swarms of wasps in the bushes, but I don't know if anything can be done about that. The toilet paper was also sometimes empty in the morning. That could be added more often.

How was the contact with the host?
the relaxed attitude of the owner (let me know if you've picked a place) not being rushed on the morning of departure was very nice. Also nice to get an a4 with activities

Tips for new guests?
From the campsite you could walk to the sea in den Osse. If you pause at the restaurant and cross the dike, you will come to a jetty where you can enter the water. The water there was very clear and you could snorkel and dive well. (At restaurant 'just pause' across the dike.) You can rent snorkel gear in Scharendijke at the dive shop

Fantastic outdoor area without fuss and nice and back to basic. We enjoyed just about everything Zeeland has to offer for seven days with this campsite as a base. Very quiet in the morning and evening.

We had adjusted ourselves to a week of no electricity and refrigerator and the like, but a communal refrigerator was very handy. The showers and toilets are spacious and clean and the atmosphere is very pleasant.

How was the contact with the host?
We have experienced the contact with Quirien as very pleasant. Relaxed and welcoming. During the trip there we even received an email with the message that the most beautiful spot of the campsite was free. This thinking was much appreciated!

What a lovely place to stay! Nature and tranquility are the keywords here. Never before has a campsite been so quiet at 2 pm, you will have the best naps of your life here! This tranquility is also guarded by the owners, rather a campsite to visit as nature lovers / couple or family and not as a weekend away with a group of friends (the evening rest is also more strictly guarded here, read: we were kindly asked no more laughing when we were playing a game in the evening). The sanitary block is a cozy space in the barn where a cheerful tune is always played, for a (warm) shower you pay 50 euro cents. The pitches are spacious and there is plenty of shade through the many trees. In the morning you will be gently woken up by the birds of Brouwershaven.

How was the contact with the host?
Rapid! Friendly and accessible!

Had wonderful days thanks to the beautiful weather and the great atmosphere that this Campspace has. Close to all kinds of nice picturesque places on Schouwen-Duivenland. The highlight was swimming during the sunset at Brouwersdam. I was alone but then again not, I was between 2 other singles with whom it clicked. Nice mix of guests, families, couples, young and old. Only downside was that I was right behind the trampoline with my tent which was used a lot in the afternoon and evening, had to get used to the repetitive crackling but the overall experience made me reconcile with this quickly :)

How was the contact with the host?

It is a small site which is very popular.
You are close to Renesse beach and the village of Brouwershaven.
You stand on grass and around you are meadows.
You can light a fire if you bring your own fire bowl or sit by a fire spot, this was important to us that this is possible at a campsite.
The toilets and showers are good, you have to pay 0.50 cents for the shower and of course bring your own toilet paper.

How was the contact with the host?
Good! Really nice girl!

Tips for new guests?
We had expected a little more privacy at the places that was a bit disappointing. But this was also because people were standing right in front of us, which shouldn't have been necessary.
But this is partly due to the fact that it is really open in terms of vegetation, it is mainly an open grass field.

Host Quirien has responded

Hi Noortje, thank you for your review! Nice that you have been. The place you chose is on the wide world field, hence the name :) We still have plenty of sheltered spots with lots of privacy due to the vegetation and trees on the other side of the campsite. Maybe next time? Greetings Quirien
