About this campspace

We welcome you to our back-to-basic backyard of 1 hectare, consisting of a great diversity of vegetation and afforestation.

You are welcome with your tent, small camper van, roof tent or small caravan (<1000kg). You can also spend the night in our own VW camper bus, equipped with all amenities, or camp for free in exchange for some work in the garden or on the buildings. Bus campers stand under the trees in the shade, tents can be placed anywhere (open field, in the forest...). In total there are approximately a maximum of 6 bookings at the same time, which in practice only occurs occasionally during the high season, usually you are with much fewer, or completely alone.

Explore the beautiful surroundings with a walk or bike ride, or enjoy the outdoor sauna on our grounds. Relax at the toad pool at the back of the site or make a fire at the fire pit while looking out at the grazing galloways. You can also make a fire at your camping spot in a fire bowl or old wheelbarrow.

We have 1 toilet and a number of uncovered cold water taps with a sink. There is also a 3-person outdoor sauna (additional charge, per sauna visit) and a (cold) outdoor shower (not covered, but under the apple tree ;). A simple bicycle can be borrowed, and supermarkets are approximately 2 km away.

Activities nearby: cycling tours, mountain bike tracks, golfing, sauna/wellness, boat rental, Biesbosch cruise, restaurants including a pancake house with play area for kids.

Please include a message with your request indicating whether you are coming with a tent or bus camper, due to limited places for bus campers (60x15m in total for a maximum of 3 bus camper bookings to ensure sufficient distance from each other).

We have had a great "mini holiday" with Judith and Klaas. We were able to find our own spot, we stood very quietly along the meadow near the fire pit. For us the most beautiful place of the entire site. We had a magical spot between the trees opposite the pond. This was very pleasant during the hot weather. For us nice and quiet with lots of privacy. Beautiful place! Even spotted a tawny owl. Had a great experience on the grounds of Klaas and Judith. We got a nice place to set up our tent. Our weekend was very windy and the host offered us a nice place out of the wind.

We camped for the weekend with 4 guests and started cooking extensively on the fire using DuchOvens. The host has boxes of wood for 8 euros per box ready for you to grab. Ideal if you want to start a fire and need some dry wood or if you are not a fan of gathering.

This is the second time we have chosen this location. The plan was to "Bush-craft" with a young nephew for an evening, but unfortunately he became ill.
My partner Sandra was willing to come in despite her recovering knee.

We made it a fun day, evening and morning. The wind was quite strong so we found shelter again in the lovely bush at the end of the plot. Awesome!

Since the closure of the "Pole campsites" in the woods, I have been looking for where you can still enjoy a primitive stay. Cook your own pot over a small fire with a tarp. That was possible and I could pick the place myself. I chose a Beech grove that offered some protection against the wind that was present that day.

Wonderful place for an overnight stay! The garden is beautiful, with lots of greenery and a forest in the back where you can take a walk. It was wonderfully quiet, we were the only ones during our stay. The facilities were clean and the sauna in combination with the cold outdoor shower is enjoyable!

We have stayed here for a few nights for the 2nd time. You can choose where you want to pitch your tent. It is wonderfully quiet and very green. You can BBQ there. There is a dog, cats and a lot of insects (mosquitoes but also dragonflies, caterpillars, grasshoppers).
The toilet is cleaned regularly and there is a cold shower. There is also a room for washing dishes. We really enjoyed it again!
