Located in the Morvan Natural Park with a view as far as Mont Blanc. Les Sauges farm campsite is located on top of a hill. You can camp wild here, but with the luxury of a toilet and shower. We have space plots. In total there are 6 places available, some with electricity and two places without electricity, which are very remote. You can also use a fully equipped shared kitchen in the barn, there is a table with chairs for when it rains. For children there are all kinds of animals, a trampoline and a slide. You can also book a course with us on 'handling horses differently' where you learn more about the body language of horses. We are not an ordinary campsite because in addition to having animals, we are also above all a place where 'makers' come. The barn is sometimes used by a theater group or by musicians, dancers use the meadows as a backdrop and a knife maker has set up a forge in one of the outbuildings. Do not expect great luxury and organized activities with us. Here there is a lot of nothing and silence and nature and space and view. Oh yes, and wind.

Het uitzicht op de plek is subliem, de faciliteiten in de schuur (toilet, verwarmde douchekamer, keuken, eet- en zithoek) zijn pico-bello in orde en zeer welkom bij regenweer. We keren hier zeker nog terug!

Saskia is een schat van een vrouw, zeer empatisch en behulpzaam. Een topper!

Tips for new guests?
Le Relais de Dettey in Dettey is een aanrader, we aten er zeerclekker voor een eerlijke prijs en de gastheer en - vrouw zijn hele lieve mensen.

A breathtaking landscape. You feel as if you were alone on this spot of earth. We didn't have the best weather, but we still enjoyed it. If we're in the area again, we'd love to come back.

How was the contact with the host?
We had to reschedule our appointment due to a car breakdown. That was easily possible. We were received very nicely and Saskia showed us everything on site.

Tips for new guests?
Bring some time. We were only there two nights. Shame would have liked to have stayed longer. This calm is unbeatable.

Do you like peace and quiet, a beautiful view over the Morvan, breathtaking sunsets, dark starry nights, cricket sounds, kilometers of hiking trails/cycling roads and a very spacious camp site with basic - but very clean - sanitary facilities / kitchen? Then you are 100% in the right place here. We loved it!

It was our first time in the Morvan. What a beautiful region! Small towns and villages, no industry, rolling landscapes, forests, lakes to swim in, authentic restaurants, .. A quiet, hidden gem in the center of France.
