In 2008 we bought an old farm with an estate in an agricultural area, which we completely renovated. Over the years our love for alpacas grew and ponies came to be in the meadows.
We enjoy being active in nature and this beautiful and peaceful place to live. Friends and acquaintances repeatedly said 'I would like to pitch my tent here'. We ourselves, together with our 2 children, enjoy the peace, space and animals around us every day.
Since the summer of 2021 we have played host to the campspace adventure and we share our meadows with everyone who loves animals, nature and camping.

We really enjoyed staying here. We got the chance to sleep in the meadow and we gladly did. We found the environment with the alpacas an experience in itself. We received a friendly welcome and were very happy with the facilities.
We would love to come back here again in the future!

How was the contact with the host?
The contact went very smoothly.

Tips for new guests?
Don't base yourself too quickly on Google Maps, because nearby there is another place with alpacas ;).

We stayed here longer than we had planned, because both us as parents and the children really enjoyed this beautiful place.
What makes it so unique is that you live outside among the animals.

How was the contact with the host?
Lien and her family are very nice people. You can ask them anything and they also let our children help take care of the animals.
They have made it a beautiful place and all their animals are very well looked after.
Lien gave our children a very good guidance when they were allowed to help take care of the animals.
We hope to be able to come back.

Tips for new guests?
When we arrived, Lien gave us a bundle with tips for activities. There are very good tips in there. Ex; Be Mine is super cool. and if you want a tour there, I can absolutely recommend Michel as a guide. The children also kept listening to him captivated for 2 hours.

Nice camping! Beautiful surroundings, super fun between all the animals. The animals are used to all the fun. The cat also came to stay with us in the tent. Clean amenities.

How was the contact with the host?
Very friendly host, very helpful

Tips for new guests?
There is no shower (yet) so if you come with a tent it is good to take this into account and to bring some washcloths yourself.

Also a nice location for walks in the beautiful nature. Very soothing!

Op 't Heeseinde is run by a pleasant and hospitable couple: Lien and Tom. We had a pleasant stay and my daughter spent more time with the goats and bunnies than with me... ;)

How was the contact with the host?
super friendly! We had forgotten the ladder from our roof tent, but with that we were helped perfectly by Tom who still had a ladder! Really nice!

We stayed at this campsite in July 2022 and about the day we left decided to rebook which we did. If it had fit into the schedule, we would have booked immediately for a next stay because it was again wonderful.

Again all those sweet, cuddly animals, the toughest jack russel that you want to take home with you, just hours of watching animals that just walk against your tent. In short, delicious.

We were two (mother and daughter, 21 years) and know that we will come back here often.

How was the contact with the host?
Very friendly, all questions are answered immediately.

A stay at the Alpacamping is extraordinary! Lien and Tom have thought of everything: there are power reels that you can pull into your tent, there is a refrigerator with local drinks and there are chairs & tables in the meadow. Conviviality trump! This is also a very nice camping spot for children. There is a mini playground, a wooden terrace between the trees and in the evening they can put the alpacas and ponies in the stable. A stay at the Alpacamping is complete in all its experiences.

How was the contact with the host?
The contact with Lien is very smooth. She responds quickly to messages and is happy to explain all your questions.

Very nice experience!
Friendly people and nice extras such as food for the alpacas and being able to help put the horses in the stable!
The booklet on arrival had also been useful to receive in advance when booking so that I had known which food options could be ordered on site and what could possibly be bought (eg honey from our own beekeeping).

It is a big plus that there is as much as possible and that there are also activities in the area to do with children!! That makes a stay of 2 nights well worth it. We are going to make it an annual tradition to come and camp among the alpacas!

How was the contact with the host?
very smooth
On arrival a bit of searching for the hostess because of several campers and a hiking tour that had just ended. But there is also a telephone number in case of absence.

Tips for new guests?
Long pants for kids who want to take a pony ride 😃
There are several options for eating on site at the campsite.
There are also some tables and chairs in the meadow, so you don't necessarily have to carry that with you.

It was a great experience to be able to stay between Tom and Lien's alpacas. It is a small-scale initiative, with a maximum of 4 to 5 tents on the alpacas' grounds. The children (5 and 7) thought it was special to live among the animals for a week, take the alpacas to the stable, the ponies back to the meadow, play with the kittens, and romp on the deadride and tree house. Had a very nice holiday!

How was the contact with the host?
Both Lien and Tom are very available, they are open to help you with everything and always willing to see what can be done for you. It was also nice to chat with them about what life on the farm is like.

What a nice camping spot we have found here! Lots of very sweet animals that make every (children's) heart melt (the alpacas of course, but also the horses, the great dog, and all the 'cuddly toys'). Great for the children to be able to participate in the daily routine of taking care of the animals and taking them to and from the meadow. Fantastic to see how you can build trust with the alpacas (over several days) and get to know the character of each animal better. The great tree house with cable car and the steppes were great, the children were never bored! We enjoyed it immensely!

We really enjoyed being among the alpacas! Fun to walk with them, feed them, observe and learn more about these animals. Our 9-year-old daughter also had a great time between all nature and all (cuddly) animals. Nice small-scale and cozy campsite, we would like to come back one day.

How was the contact with the host?
Well, we felt welcome! Very nice and helpful hosts. Nice that they wanted to share their little paradise with us.

Tips for new guests?
Information about catering in the area online is not always up to date. We found many businesses that were closed. We noticed that it will only come to life in the surrounding villages, especially from Thursday. Good to keep in mind. In terms of outings, we recommend Bokrijk, a whole day of entertainment for the whole family. We also found the Bakkerie in Olmen highly recommended, where we celebrated birthday with a delicious fresh and extensive breakfast.
Walking with the alpacas is of course a must! Enjoy a relaxing walk while learning about the alpaca. The local products and those from alpacamping itself are also highly recommended.

Nice quiet camping spot between the alpacas. In the evening the alpacas were put in their stable, so at night you are not bothered by noises that would wake you up. There were also many other animals to discover, ponies, bunnies, kittens, goats, you name it.

How was the contact with the host?
On arrival we received a package with alpaca food and supplies for the campsite. There was also a brochure with tips about what to do in the area, where the restaurants are, what you can order at the alpa campsite, etc. This was very handy and friendly. The hosts were very sociable, friendly and always willing to answer our questions. Very pleasant people!

Tips for new guests?
Make a fire in the fire bowl, put the ponies in the stables, pet the goats and bunnies. Visit the valley of the black brook nearby.

We stayed at the Alpaca campsite for two nights and it was really beautiful. The pictures don't lie, you are literally camping among the alpacas. They will keep you company from morning to night. You can also help put them in the stable at night. Tired of the alpacas (which can be difficult because you can watch them for hours)? Then there are ponies, goats, rabbits, chickens and a very sweet dog, Tibo. You have real contact with these animals, even the chickens can just be petted.

There is a lot to do in the area, you will receive a handy brochure on arrival that contains everything: shops, restaurants, tourist attractions, ....

We were really there for nature and the animals, only for some shopping we left the campsite for a while.

If possible you can come early and leave late, of course in consultation with the owners. In our case it was possible and allowed, so we were able to spend a lot of time at the campsite.

In short, we really liked it and are already looking at when we can go back.

How was the contact with the host?
The owners are very friendly, helpful people. Our emails were always answered very quickly. Everything is very pleasant. Everything on the website is correct, very correct.

Very nice place with lovely people! Thank you Lien and Tom. Bag of food is super fun for children. And alpacas are top animals!

It is, in a word, an experience!
For young and old. Lovely camp spots in the shade. Curious alpacas around your breakfast table, super friendly hostess and host who welcome you and give you instant holiday feeling.
It's everything you expect from a holiday close to home with the kids. It went beyond my expectations. Magnificent tree house and children's play area. Blessed!

How was the contact with the host?
Wonderfully nice people with a story and mission. Good information to get the most out of your holiday. They give you a genuine welcome and the children can really be themselves.
Local use with products to extend the experience.

Tips for new guests?
Bring mosquito cloth and afterbite

I'm Otta (11 years old) and I really liked it!
Feeding the animals, riding the pony, animals around my tent and at dinner, helping Tom on the farm,...
And I didn't want to go home!

How was the contact with the host?
Tom gives a lot of interesting explanations, let anyone help who wants to, he was always there when I needed him and he loves his animals very much!

Tips for new guests?
Get up early enough to help put the alpacas outside!

Very nice experience. You can really put the tent between the alpacas and they come really close (especially if you have alpaca food). There is a sink, a refrigerator with local products (you can also put your own food in it), a toilet and electricity. Pretty basic but you have everything you need. In the evening you can make a campfire, also super cozy! You will also receive a booklet with all kinds of information about nice walks and restaurants in the area. You can also book a walk with the ponies or the alpacas.

How was the contact with the host?
Super nice people. We had said in advance that we would come a bit earlier and Tom immediately showed us the way. We did the pony walk with Lies and it was also super fun. Really nice people, you can ask anything, nothing is too much.

Tips for new guests?
At the start you get a bag with toilet paper, a sponge, soap and some sweets, so you don't have to provide that yourself. The toilet is closed behind a wooden fence, but the closing is a chain, not really a door. The dishes are washed right after, so you have little privacy. There is no shower but we had our own camping shower to freshen up quickly.

Our stay at 't Heeseinde was really great! Camping among the alpacas, walking the alpacas, grooming and riding the pony and helping to put the animals in and out was really fun. In the meantime, enjoy playing in the cool tree house. You could also have a delicious breakfast there.

My daughter (10 years) and I really enjoyed it. It was really just getting away to a beautiful place. And absolutely recommended!!!

How was the contact with the host?
The contact with Lien and Tom is pleasant, friendly, fast and correct. They help with everything you need and the care of the farm and also that of food such as pancake batter and accessories and a delicious breakfast.

Tips for new guests?

And don't skip the Alpaca hike. That was fun.

It was an instructive weekend and a great camping experience! We really enjoyed looking around the farm, pitching our tent in the meadow between the alpacas, feeding and helping the animals in the stable and especially taking them for a walk! The tree house was also super cozy. The outside toilet and sink made the stay very comfortable. We certainly hope to come back here!

How was the contact with the host?
Lien and Tom really welcomed us warmly and were always ready for questions or if we needed anything! Thanks to them, we could even enjoy a real campfire between the showers!

Tips for new guests?
We learned a lot about the alpacas during the walk with quiz and
the soup - from home-grown zucchini - afterwards was super tasty!
This place is highly recommended - both for kids and adults :D

The tree house and the fire pit also provided a lot of fun. Not to mention feeding the alpacas. We really enjoyed every moment.

Have a wonderful day!
Two nights with my 9 year old daughter in the tent among the alpacas.

Very nice experience. Huge warm and hospitable reception by Lien, husband and cheerful offspring.
Enjoyed the animals, the tree house, the primitive cooking (and the jokes!) by the campfire…

Sanitary is basic but neat and clean.
It is precisely that basic that has its charm.

Everything you need for a few blissful days in the outdoors.
Also plenty of fun things to do in the area.
We'll be back for sure!

On arrival we immediately had a good feeling. We were welcomed by Lila (daughter of Lien & Tom) who told us very enthusiastically about the rabbits and the dog Tibo. We have been able to enjoy the tranquility of this place for 4 nights. Lien and Tom are very lovely people who do everything to ensure that guests have a pleasant stay. The alpacas are fun and curious. The horses are sweet and certainly like a handful of grass. Plenty to discover in the area. In short, nice people, lovely animals and a beautiful environment.

How was the contact with the host?
Very good. In addition to the necessary moments, there is also room for more personal contact. We experience this as nice.

Tips for new guests?
Keep in mind (for now) that there is no hot water and shower yet. We washed the dishes by boiling some water. Showering was also successful in consultation.

We have had a fantastic weekend at 't Heeseinde. The kids loved helping feed the alpacas and have been floating from the tree house with the zipline the whole time.
The cozy Be-Mine site of Beringen is nearby, perfect for going for a swim at Sportoase, climbing between industrial heritage or to visit the mining museum. We also enjoyed a walk in the flowering heather at the end of the street.
When we left, we hadn't even left the street when the kids were already asking when we were coming back :)
