In this garden, between trees and plants, you will experience the quiet and rural Dutch life.
The local countryside. A 3-minute walk away, a natural park is situated, around a small lake. Nice for a beautiful (morning) walk. If you like birdwatching, you will enjoy the natural park, which is famous for the beautiful bird species.
The beach is close by (North Sea; 45 min. by bike - bikes available), the site is close to city Delft (20 min. by bike) and cities Rotterdam and The Hague (1hr by bus). The campsite is around the villa. Be welcome to camp in our yard!
In our shed there is a toilet and a water tap. There is an outside shower available, which has hot water when the sun warmed the water.

At this beautiful place, we (Agnes and Ben) enjoy all the green around us. We love the birds who wake us up in the morning with their ballad and sing us back to sleep again in the evening. With the nature reserve within walking distance, a regular walk ensures wonderful relaxation. The cozy fowl chickens and the vegetable garden (in the glasshouse and also outdoor) complete the many moments of enjoyment.

all in all it was a lovely experience. i came here for a nice weekend away from the city and i got what i wanted. the location isn't dead silent but quiet enough to fully enjoy the nature. the small town of "Schipluiden" is very cute and has some nice locations to eat and drink.

How was the contact with the host?
The contact was very nice from the beginning, over chat we informed eachother about the arrival time and how to reach the destination.

Tips for new guests?
i didnt need them because I hiked everywhere but a bike is the perfect way to make sure to fully appriciate the outdoors and the local towns

We had a great one night stay at Agnes' place. It's a beautiful and quiet spot in little rural village. Agnes was very welcoming, gave us a little tour of the greenhouse where she runs a social gardening project and provided some hot water for the outdoor shower (thanks again! :) We had everything we needed, and could store our bikes inside.

Fantastic! The domain is very beautiful and peaceful in the green De Lier, the welcome by Agnes and Ben was very warm. Agnes gave us a tour of their beautiful social vegetable garden project, and we got coffee and cake on top. Agnes had also hung up balloons for my friend's birthday! We were able to rent bicycles and went to The Hague, Schevingen and Delft. Everything is nearby! We will definitely come back.

Tips for new guests?
Danger! Google Maps shortcut to the Lidlkreisel/bus station no longer exists and has not been updated!
Delft is worth seeing! For beer drinkers especially the brewery!

Hi Stephanie, thanks for the response!
Yes, indeed, there is a lane road, which not all navigation systems have already adapted. A point of attention when you go from the Lidl supermarket or the bus station to the campsite.

Kindly received. Toilets and water close by and easily accessible. Grass field is close to a small road, but in the evening and night hardly anyone drives there.
The light in the adjacent greenhouses was off, so that was fine too. All in all a great spot.

How was the contact with the host?
Friendly welcome. Explained where the toilets were and gave a tip for a nice walk in the area. Came back later to see if everything was okay. Good contact.

On arrival we were warmly welcomed and we were allowed to choose between a place under the tree in the front garden or by the greenhouse. We chose for the sunny lawn near the greenhouse. In the greenhouse we could use the toilet and kettle. Agnes also showed us the vegetable gardens in the greenhouse, where she could explain us everything about the different vegetables that grow there. The camping site is close to the centre of De Lier (10 minutes by bike) and the nature reserve Het Kraaiennest (The crows nest). It is a beautiful place, and definitely worth camping for once!

After a short walk through nature reserve 't Kraaiennest, which is a stone's throw from this Campspace, I was welcomed by the hospitable Agnes and Ben. After a warm welcome, they offered me a choice of camping spots around the house, I chose a quiet location place next to the house in a lot of greenery. In the morning the woolly house chicken and cockerel roamed around my tent. You can learn a lot from Agnes and Ben about the horticultural sector that is very characteristic of this environment and you would also have your green fingers. be able to put them to work in their own greenhouse. This Campspace is a wonderful place among the farmlands, perfect if you want to combine urban activities with a typical Dutch landscape: the Randstad is not far away here, but there are also many hiking opportunities in the area: ideal if you want to combine hiking and camping!

We were received hospitably and the place was very worthwhile. Agnes gave us a very pleasant guide and the facilities, sanitary, and kitchen were excellent. It was also surprising to us that there is a beautiful nature reserve nearby. The camping spot is also located on a body of water.

The Campspace in the Lier is a beautiful place with a lovely evening sun. The host Agnes does everything she can to make you feel comfortable and she visibly enjoys receiving new people on her premises. There is a private toilet and a nice kitchen that you can use. There is no shower available (yet, Agnes showed me they are working on an outdoor shower), but bringing your own shower bag is no problem. The environment is so beautiful! I actually have no tips for future guests: if you like small-scale camping in a nice spot, this is definitely recommended.

It was a lot of fun at Agnes Campspace. A special place between the greenhouses and within cycling distance of the sea. Agnes is great and makes sure you have a nice stay. She thought of everything: an outdoor shower, BBQ, a kitchen, and when it rains you can sit dry in the greenhouse. Very nice and highly recommended!

Fabian

The contact with Agnes was easy and very friendly. The place was great and now also has an outdoor shower that is super useful. (+ kitchen, toilet, etc.) Can definitely recommend it. The only aspect to note is that the frogs in the area were very loud during the night, so perhaps future guests should bring some earplugs (or, in my case, be tired enough to fall asleep anyway).

Agnes was a super nice host. She received me late in the evening and made me feel very comfortable. The area is beautiful and you wake up with the water right next to your tent. Since they own a community garden, you get to interact with local people if you wish so. I'd totally stay there again if I'm in the area anytime soon.

Great place to spend the night! Agnes is a nice woman who gives you a warm welcome and what you need is available: A shower, a toilet, a picnic table, a coffee machine, and also a place to sit dry in bad weather (in the greenhouse). You can look in the vegetable garden, take a walk through the nature reserve and to De Lier for a terrace.

We had a nice stay at Agnes’ in de Lier. Agnes is a pleasant and friendly hostess. We stood with our tent on the water with some shade. We could use the canteen to make coffee and there were bicycles to borrow. The outdoor shower in construction was great for rinsing off. Every day we got some goodies from our own greenhouse: Melon, raspberries, cucumber. Highly recommended.
